Foal Headcollar

How to get a headcollar on a nervous foal?
Any tips?
I’m going to spend some time getting her to trust me (she’s currently in a stable just been weaned off her mum).
I’d just like to know if anyone has got any tips as to how to get her nose into it without her panicking.
I haven’t had her from day one. I bought the mare and foal together a month ago.
I put the foal with mom, who is safely tied in a stall. I rub the foal with my hands, then with the halter. Once accepting of that.. mind you it may be the next day… I take a lead rope and attach it to the halter. I rub the lead/halter on the foal… neck, sides, belly, back and work up to the head. Once accepting that I rub it on the foal’s head and neck, both sides, under and over. Next I rub around the nose and put a bucket with a small amount of feed below the nose piece. Usually after a few minutes the foal will reach through and eat. Next day I use the bucket again, and lay the lead over it’s neck. Next I take the bucket away and do the same as before. Next I put it on, off, on, off without ever buckling it until that’s accepted. The I go ahead and put it on. I have done this with many foals and never had a problem. Many will allow it all within a short time. I had two that were haltered within ten minutes. if the bucket wasn’t needed i skipped it. Doing this I have always had good luck with them being accepting of it on and off anytime. Mom being there relaxes them and since she’s not panicky, they calm down.
