I think it sounds good and personally would not have a problem with it.

However I would encourage you to check into the rules where you are before you purchase anything. Mainly it will depend on what type of show it is.

Here at an all Welsh show they are much more fussy about the correct rules than in general agricultural shows locally.

I had a quick look at our Welsh Pony & Cob Society of Australia Inc Show Regulations. Your country would have one of these and it would be easy to look it up

I could not find the exact regulation regarding the head wear (as their are 55 of them LOL) However a rough rule of thumb here is mature geldings are shown in a bridle with a butterfly lead. White web halters are used more for young stock and mares.

I also noted a regulation regarding the plaiting of horses and only certain ones can be in certain classes. So it will be well worth looking up your society locally if you are keen to get it right the first time.

I have a welsh mare and foal I plan to show here with my daughter as well.
