New foal need help!?

Ok i know some one. Well i don’t know them personally, but anyway! (=
Ok she rescued a mare about two weeks ago that was pregnant. Along with others. But on of the pregnant mares foaled a few days ago. Her udder was really hard when she foaled and it still is.
Do you know how to help?
The mare lets the foal drink but it hurts her really bad, and sometimes she pushes the foal away.
Should she start bottle feeding her? She doesn’t want to do that because the foal might not drink from the mare later.
Do you know how to help her udder not be so hard?
Thanks.
Do you think the vet knows how to help?
we know it isn’t a disease. this mare wasn’t fed well till two weeks ago when she was rescued. We pretty sure her udder is still devolping.
The foal is cute though lol.

Sounds like mastitis to me.

Mastitis is the inflammation of the mammalian mammary gland (breast in primates, udder in other mammals). It is called puerperal mastitis when it occurs in lactating mothers and non-puerperal otherwise.Puerperal mastitis is the inflammation of breast in connection with pregnancy, breastfeeding or weaning. It is caused by blocked milk ducts, milk excess or infection.Early stages of mastitis can present with local pain, redness, swelling, and warmth, later stages also present with systemic symptoms like fever and flu-like symptoms and in rare cases an abscess can develop. However it is pretty common that symptoms develop very quickly without any warning.

Treatment
Frequent emptying of both breasts by breastfeeding is essential. Also essential is adequate fluid supply for the mother and baby. Use of pumps to empty the breast is now considered somewhat controversial.

In cases of light mastitis massage and application of heat prior to feeding can help as this may aid unblocking the ducts. However in more severe cases of mastitis heat or massage could make the symptoms worse and cold compresses are better suited to contain the inflammation.

I suggest geting the vet out just in case. You would wanna be safe than sorry if the foal or mother became very i’ll.

Build Your Farmville Nursery Barn Today

You may have realised if you are a regular player of FarmVille, that new buildings have arrived called Nursery barns. Somewhere where you can home your baby horses and baby cows that you’ve collected.

Grab your frame from the gift box or from the market for 5,000 coins and start collecting pieces.

The nursery barn is constructed in the same manner as the maison and horse stable. You will once again collect fifty construction pieces. Much like the other buildings, the materials include nails, boards and bricks. Unlike the maison and horse stable, however, the nursery also requires bottles and blankets. You will need to collect ten of each item to complete your building.

There are a variety of ways to quickly collect pieces for your nursery. As soon as you place the foundation you will find a bottle already inside. You will also get to post to your profile feed and allow neighbours to send you an initial piece. From there, you can receive gifted pieces each day.  Every player has two pieces available to send on their free gift page. Some pieces available will have a construction hat above them that indicate they are usable for more than one constructible building.

In order to determine what construction pieces you still need, click the “look inside” button on the menu for your nursery. When you look inside you will see all of the items you have collected and what you still need. Once a day you will be able to click a button on the “look inside” page to ask for pieces. This posting will let your friends know how much of each item you still need. If construction from free gifts is not going as fast as you would like, you can buy each item for one farm cash in the market.

Be sure to send your friends gifts each day from your gift page. You can also send nursery construction items you do not have by sending a thank you gift from your gift acceptance page when you receive a construction piece.  You will also have the opportunity to give your friends extra pieces on your news feed at various times during construction: when you have collected all ten of each item, and when you have collected twenty-five pieces total.

Once your Farmville nursery is complete you can use it to house twenty foals and calves in total. Like the milk barn, you can collect from your baby animals once every day.   Work hard on your nursery and you will have a great surprise waiting inside, a gray foal.  When you receive your foal, you can post to your profile and allow a handful of neighbours to collect one as well.

Be certain to share this opportunity with your friends, and be sure to check your news feed for a chance to collect a foal yourself.  For the time being, the nursery will only be able to house foals and calves and collect from them. Eventually, the nursery will be a location where babies can grow into adult animals. With so much potential for your baby animals, creating your nursery will be well worth the hard work.
