Foal wont drink! called vet! is this the end?

we are fighting this colt to drink from the bottle, and the pan, and from rubber gloves to baby bottles. what is going on? the mother is Drying up rapidly, the vet said nothing can be done, only tube him once or twice. he has gotten his colostrum, and is 5 days old today. we have milk replacer, there aren’t any nurse mares around. hes fighting us so badly we think its going to kill him over the stress. any suggestion, i have done many hours of research and found nothing!

get another vet.
we had a filly who would not feed from birth.she only had a slight suckling motion.the vet came out that night and advised she went into the practise. she was dripped and fed at the vets over 2 days. she came home on the third day and has not looked back. the bill was £3000. but we have a live foal.
